World Book Day

Thursday 8th March 2018

After being postponed due to the snow, we finally managed to celebrate World Book Day. Many children dressed up in brilliant costumes to share their love of reading. We raised just over £150 which is fantastic! The money will go to Book Aid and for every £2 donated, Book Aid International can send a new book to a library or school in Africa.

In school, teachers shared some of their favourite children’s books and children got to take part in a Treasure Hunt in the hall. After school, we had a book swap where children could exchange an unwanted book for a different one. It was a great day!
