Helping Other People Everywhere
During Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays of the Lent period, the children were given the opportunity to raise money for charity at break-times. How they do this was up to them - popcorn sales, name the teddy bear, selling home-made buns and biscuits, nail painting, arts, crafts - the list is endless. The children organise it, provide their 'wares', set up their stalls, clear away, buy and sell. It generally cost no more than 20p and every penny counted.
H.O.P.E. fund is a true South Crosland Junior School experience and this year the children have raised an impressive £986.73! The School Council will now begin their work to coordinate the charity nominations across the school.
